As another year rolls around I would like to thank those of you who have renewed your membership by standing order for doing so.In the next few days I hope to be advised by the treasurer of who has taken the easy option and I will be sending reminders to others.

Of course you could visit us on stand W18 at Alexandra Palace and thrust cash into eager hands if you prefer the personal touch.I hope to see some of you there and the others elsewhere as the year progresses.

General Discussion / Early warning for next year's European championship

Next summer the event returns to the Ijsselmeer. The plan is to arrive at Workum on Friday 26th July with racing from the following day until the 30th-the 31st is a reserve day.More details to follow nearer the time.

General Discussion / Sailing in the Netherlands in 2018 can still be done

I have just been advised that if any British sailors wish to take part in the final regatta in mainland Europe this year it could be quite easy to do so.Our Dutch friends will have two boats available for visitors and will even arrange to collect visiting sailors from Schipol and drive them to the event.So it would be quite easy to leave a British airport on Saturday morning and return Sunday evening.Contact Neil of myself to learn more.

A couple of people have raised the issue of sailing licence numbers,which are a required field of the registration form.It seems that as long as a character is entered in the box,the form will be accepted by the automated system.If you require additional meals there is a box to be ticked and then you can elect a number and the total will appear when you select a payment method.

I have been notified today that the registration for Carnac is now possible.You need to go the the website of the Yacht Club de Carnac and look for registration.You might also find the view from the club webcam inspiring  http://www.ot-carnac.fr/carnac/nos-webcams  .

My thanks to all of the sailors who have renewed their membership,it helps us to keep the wheels turning.The people I have contact details for will be receiving membership forms in the next day or two.
